What to Pack for Race Day: The Ultimate Checklist

You’ve trained, you’ve tapered, and race day is almost here. 🎉

The last thing you want? Realizing you forgot your bike shoes, race belt, or (gulp) your wetsuit. 😱

A solid race-day checklist is a simple but powerful tool to help you feel calm, confident, and 100% prepared. Whether you’re heading to your first sprint or your tenth 70.3, use this ultimate triathlon packing list to make sure nothing gets left behind.


🎒 Triathlon Race Day Packing Checklist

🏊‍♀️ Swim Gear

  • Wetsuit (if needed)
  • Tri suit or swimwear
  • Goggles (plus backup pair)
  • Swim cap (race-provided, but bring a backup)
  • Anti-chafe (Body Glide or similar)
  • Towel for transition area
  • Flip-flops or slide sandals

🚴‍♀️ Bike Gear

  • Bike (checked and tuned!)
  • Helmet (mandatory)
  • Sunglasses
  • Bike shoes
  • Socks (if you wear them)
  • Flat kit (tube, levers, CO2, mini pump)
